Opera in the Alps - Saturday 16th January 2010
Australian Music Events is pleased to announce the return, by popular demand, of two of Australia’s most popular performers -MARINA PRIOR and DAVID HOBSON. They will be joined by a 100-voice chorus and 50-piece orchestra led by one of Australia’s finest conductors, BENJAMIN NORTHEY.
The evening will also showcase the talented Australian Vocal Scholars. Staged on the picturesque grounds of La Trobe at Beechworth, Opera in the Alps is a magical evening of classical favourites now established as one of regional Victoria’s cultural highlights.
Fine regional food and wine will be sold through outlets prior to the concert commencing. For something different, the Premium Package is the perfect way to experience Opera in the Alps and we welcome patrons to indulge in the two-course pre-concert dinner accompanied by fine wines from Campbells Wines. The dinner takes place on the lawns of the Pines Convention Centre which commands a breathtaking view of the concert setting. Dessert will be served at interval.
